Born with a hole in his heart, Backstreet Boys' Brian Littrell always knew that one day he would need the routine surgical procedure that would finally close the unwanted space. He'd been tiring more quickly in recent months, and realized the time had finally come to deal with the condition - especially since he wanted to be in tip-top shape for the Boys' big summer tour! That surgery took place a few days ago and we've just gotten an update - plus something special just for you!
Brian's doing well, his heart is working beautifully, and his hospital stay will be a relatively short one. Yes, he's going home in just a few more days - and everybody is delighted!
It wasn't easy for Backstreet Boys to be without Brian - Kevin, Bri's cousin, broke down at Disney's Grad Night show when just he, Nick, Howie and A.J. had to perform without Brian. Everyone knew Bri would be back soon, but the fact is, the Backstreet Boys have been together practically every day for the last five years or more! They really are like brothers... all for one and one for all!
Bri's on the mend now and the Boys are off to write songs and work with different producers - yes, even Brian after he's had a chance to recuperate. They'll be all geared up to record a hot new CD and do their entire summer tour by the time their first concert date rolls around on July 8th!
